The 250.4 is a Class-H switching power amplifier dedicated to fixed installations. It features four independent 250 W channels driving both 4 Ω loads and 70 V/100 V lines.
Unlike most of 100 V amplifiers, the 250.4 does not use any output transformer, so the signal fed to the speakers is pure and natural. In addition, it uses a Class-H technology which gives a significant loss of weight and a gain of efficiency.
One of the most popular applications is having two independent zones including low impedance loads on channel 1 and 2 for proximity speakers, and 100 V line on channel 3 and 4 for long distance transducers.
All connectors and settings are located on the rear panel. Control Leds on the front panel give a real time status of the amplifier.
A switchable band-pass filter can eliminate hum and noise on the 100 V line when necessary.
The balanced inputs features XLR connectors and the outputs got screw terminals.
A time delay protects the loads from current transients when the power supply is switched on. The amplifier is also protected against overvoltage, short circuit and overheating.
